A picture is worth a thousand words. The proverb is very well-known, and still very true. Any good description, choice of special words and original formulations will not replace a quality photo. Perfect presentation of the offer should be a matter of course, because good pictures are the best selling argument. Show your customers that it is really worth buying your goods and using your services.
What should an ideal photo look like?
- For an attractive and engaging offer, we need ideally five to six high-quality photos from you, but at least four. We will use the best photo for the offer banner, and the others for the gallery.
- If possible, always use a camera rather than a mobile phone. Camera photos will be of better quality and easier to edit.
- Use the highest possible photo resolution, but at least 2000 × 1000 px (600 KB).
- Try to capture the subject or room from different angles.
- Two photos must be landscape (we will use them for the banner), the others can be taken in portrait . For portrait photos, the minimum size of the longer side is 1000 px .
- If possible, prefer to take photos in daylight, but be careful of direct sunlight so that the photo is not overexposed.
- Make sure the photos are sharp.
- If you have your offer or business photographed by a professional, send us the photos in the highest quality possible.
- Photos must be in color, definitely not black and white, and must not contain any text, watermarks, or copyright marks.
What to capture and what not?
- Photos should best represent your menu. There should be nothing in the photo that is unrelated to the menu. For example, if you offer a menu with roasted chicken and fries, don't take a photo of them with a salad or drink that isn't part of the menu.
- Capture the entire offering as you will actually sell it. Customers want to see what they will actually get. For example, if you take a photo of chicken and fries and then decide to change the side dish at the last minute, that photo cannot be used.
- Pay attention to what is in the background of the photo.
- If there are people in the photos, it is necessary to have their permission to use the image for sales and advertising purposes.
- Avoid taking photos of brands. Logos of various beverage brands, such as Coca Cola and the like, must not appear in the images.
Our graphic designers use Shutterstock photo bank to make your offers look more attractive, where they obtain, for example, background photos for goods or illustrative thematic photos. However, nothing can replace your own high-quality photos , which are a necessary condition for launching your event. However, under no circumstances should you download photos from Google or other sources to which you do not have the rights. We cannot and do not want to use such photos.
What is important when you offer food, services, accommodation or goods?
Gastronomy
- The minimum size of photos is 2000 × 1000 px, minimum size 600 kB.
- To launch your offer, we need at least 4 high-quality photos . We will use one for the main banner, the other for the preview.
- You're primarily concerned with making the food look fresh and appealing. If you wouldn't choose it based on the photo, try taking the photos differently.
- Ideally, capture the entire menu you offer, preferably from multiple angles, and then each dish offered separately .
- Pay attention to where you place your plates. A clean table without any other decorations, brightly colored tablecloths, etc. is best.
- Try to get the entire plate in the picture, with a little space around it, so that the photo can be cropped to the necessary size.
- The image should not contain any logos, for example, of drinks such as Coca Cola, etc. If drinks are not part of the menu, pour it into a glass and take the photo that way.
- Don't forget to showcase your restaurant or café as such. A photo of both the interior and exterior is ideal. Try multiple photos from different angles so we can choose the most attractive one.
Goods
- To present your goods, we need two formats: a wide photo for the main banner and then images of individual variants.
- The ideal size of a banner image is 2000 × 1000 px, 600 KB in size. The banner photo should include a selection of options on a nice background, or on a white background, which our graphic designers will edit.
- The ideal size of photos of individual product variants is 2000 × 2000 ob, size min. 600 kB. Photos can be landscape, we crop them to square format. However, please note that the item must fit into the square cutout.
- Excessive creativity is more detrimental in this case, photograph the goods on a solid color, ideally on a white background , so that the goods themselves stand out.
- Pay attention to the condition of the goods when taking photos, they should be unpacked, clean, clothing should not be wrinkled and tags should not be visible.
Services
- The minimum size of photos is 2000 × 1000 px, minimum size 600kB.
- Your offer must contain at least 4 photos - one main photo for the banner and at least three photos for the preview.
- Don't forget about your business image . Try taking photos from multiple angles and make sure the interior looks clean and tidy . Pay attention to small details like a bucket and mop in the corner, an uneaten snack left on the reception desk, or smudges on a glass table, etc.
- Do not create any collages , such as "before" and "after" pictures for beauty and hairdressing services, car interior cleaning, etc. Please send us the photos you want to use for such a demonstration separately, each one separately.
Travel
- The minimum size of the photo is 2000 × 1000 px, minimum size 600 kB.
- Show potential guests as much as possible about your hotel or guesthouse so they have something to base their decision on.
- Of course, there should be photos of individual rooms, restaurants, and buildings . Don't forget, for example, the children's corner, gym, playground, and wellness center, if guests can use them.
- When taking pictures of interiors, pay attention to cleanliness. The picture should not show a forgotten vacuum cleaner, unmade beds, drawn curtains, an untidy trash can, etc.
- Attract guests with pictures of the hotel surroundings, nature, or nearby landmarks, ideally taken in multiple seasons.
